Access personal and shared mailboxes over Outlook on the web

This article explains how to access personal and shared Microsoft Outlook mailboxes over the web using the Microsoft 365 portal.

Login to the Microsoft 365 Portal

Open the following link in a web browser and log in with the personal Microsoft login (with possible two-factor authentication): https://office.com

Access personal Outlook Mailbox

After logging in, click on the Outlook icon on the left side of the browser window:

After that, the personal mailbox opens in a new tab. This mailbox is synchronized across all devices and is fully functional:

Access to shared mailboxes via Outlook Web:

First open the personal mailbox according to the steps described above.

After that, you need to select the personal icon according to the screenshot and click on "Open another mailbox":

A small window opens in the middle of the screen. In this window, the e-mail address of the shared mailbox must be entered. Afterwards, the shared mailbox can be opened in another tab by clicking "Open":

Make sure that access to the shared mailbox is guaranteed.
